I mean those guitars. That grit and rattle and shush. I\u2019m in. There are even a few tear drops of country twang. Blue Glass knock it out of the park on this one. Cool rhythm section feel. The tone of that bass line voice with the crisp snare feel in the break down. The pumping. Way cool. Nice atmospherics. I listen to songs a lot when I do videos and this one I never tired of listening to. Not once. Hypnotic and ethereal. Somehow chaotic and contained. Well done Blue Glass and Earwig. Very cool sounding tune.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Michael of Blue Glass wanted the visuals to be subdued and simple. We didn\u2019t have a lot of time to shoot something. I thought him singing looking into the camera with some distortions would be simple. But, still lend a visual hand and movement to the chaos and hypnosis that the music and lyrics establish so well. For some reason I\u2019ve been into shooting through water recently and this tune has such a rainy northwest vibe inside of it somehow. You can feel your self standing out in the rain almost or knee deep in Puget Sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All the little dots. After Michael and I finished shooting I randomly walked down to Gas Works park down the street from Earwig for some fresh air before heading back to stump town and the reflection off Lake Union was so cool I had to pull my camera out and film it. I figured it was probably a sign to put it with the footage and I think it gives another layer of that underwater feel Seattle indie rock is so good at.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
